INTERPRETER TERMS OF AGREEMENT
Interpreters are defined as any individual
registering on InterpreterNet as
an entity (business or individual) that
purports to supply interpreting services.
Interpreters agree and understand that
InterpreterNet does not pay interpreters.
Interpreters understand and agree InterpreterNet
simply refers consumers needing interpreting
services to interpreters who may be
available via e-mail updates. InterpreterNet
will try its best to deliver interpreter
requests promptly to registered interpreters
and their e-mails, but does not guarantee
delivery of every request for an interpreter
as technical difficulties may arise.
Interpreters will often be given information
about a consumer and their contact information.
Interpreters may NOT solicit these consumers
for work as an individual contractor
or as a business. Interpreters acknowledge
that InterpreterNet's list of customers,
consumers, procedures for doing business,
financial affairs, etc. are valuable
and unique assets of this business.
An interpreter agrees that he/she will
not, either during or after termination
of service with InterpreterNet,
disclose any such information, or other
confidential information, gained by
virtue of association with InterpreterNet,
to any person, firm, or other entity,
for any reason whatsoever without the
permission of InterpreterNet. We
hereby reserve the right to terminate
the membership of any interpreter that
violates these terms of agreement.
Interpreters
are responsible to provide for their
own liability, disability, and health
insurance coverage. All applicable federal
and state taxes are the sole responsibility
of the interpreter. Because InterpreterNet
does not pay interpreters, InterpreterNet
will not deduct any taxes from contractor
checks, and corporations will not be
sent IRS 1099 forms at the end of a
calendar year. Interpreters may not
apply for workers compensation insurance
or unemployment benefits on behalf of
InterpreterNet.
An interpreter's
contract with InterpreterNet is
non-exclusive and interpreters may work
for other agencies but requests for
interpreting services from InterpreterNet's
customers and consumers must be directed
to InterpreterNet and channeled
through our normal interpreter-request
procedure.
CONSUMER TERMS OF AGREEMENT
Interpreters are defined as any individual registering on InterpreterNet as an entity (business or individual) that purports to supply interpreting services. However, InterpreterNet does not guarantee the services of any of these individuals or businesses. We encourage all requestors of interpreting services to hire nationally certified interpreters (as explained in "The Interpreting Profession" portion of InterpreterNet) so as to minimize mistakes and errors on the part of the interpreter. However, regardless of certification, InterpreterNet makes no claim to guarantee the quality of service rendered by any of our registered interpreters.
Consumers understand that by requesting an interpreter via InterpreterNet's "Interpreter Request" form does not guarantee an interpreter will contact them or that an interpreter will be found to complete the requested service. However, Consumers agree that regardless of whether an interpreter is found or not to perform the requested service, they will still be billed the current Interpreter Request rate, which InterpreterNet reserves the right to change at any time. Consumers also understand that they will be responsible for negotiating a pay rate with the interpreter, and paying the interpreter, provided one contacts them, in addition to the Interpreter Request fee charged by InterpreterNet. InterpreterNet only bills Consumers for their requests for an interpreter submitted online and/or their monthly package plan which they have selected and agreed to pay in the "Billing Information" page.
Interpreters agree and understand that InterpreterNet does not pay interpreters. Consumers understand and agree InterpreterNet simply refers those needing interpreting services to interpreters who may be available via e-mail updates. InterpreterNet will try its best to deliver interpreter requests promptly to registered interpreters and their e-mails, but does not guarantee delivery of every request for an interpreter as technical difficulties may arise.
Consumers hereby grant consent that all registered interpreters on InterpreterNet may view the information filled out in the "Interpreter Request" form submitted online.
Consumers understand and agree that
Interpreters may NOT solicit work as
an individual contractor or as a business
from them. A Consumer agrees that he/she
will not, either during or after termination
of service with InterpreterNet,
attempt to solicit work from an Interpreter
which was first referred to the Consumer
via InterpreterNet. Requests
for interpreting services from an interpreter
referred to a Consumer via InterpreterNet
must be directed to InterpreterNet
and channeled through our normal interpreter-request
procedure.
Interpreters and Consumers acknowledge that InterpreterNet's list of customers, consumers, interpreters, procedures for doing business, financial affairs, etc. are valuable and unique assets of this business. A Consumer agrees that he/she will not, either during or after termination of service with InterpreterNet, disclose any such information, or other confidential information, gained by virtue of association with InterpreterNet, to any person, firm, or other entity, for any reason whatsoever without the permission of InterpreterNet. We hereby reserve the right to terminate the membership of any Consumer or Interpreter that violates these terms of agreement.
